The tools you will need are a comb, soft brush, spray bottle, 3 ouchless elastics, 1 hair band, and hair spray.
With your comb draw or part the hair to make the top right side of a heart.
Do the same thing on the left side.
Then draw the bottom right side of the heart and the bottom left side of the heart.
Add an elastic.
Divide the hair in half under the ponytail and pull the pony tail into the left side that will be brought into a floppy bun to keep it out of the way.
Starting like the Lace Braided Bun, use your comb to get a wide, thin piece to begin with. Go right near the part to get your first piece.
Divide it in two.
To do a rope braid, you twist both pieces to the right and cross to the left. This is not easy especially at first. Keep your pieces twisted tight. Then you add hair from the front and the back kind of close to the heart part.
So you are twisting right and crossing left, then adding hair to each, then twisting right and crossing left again.
Keep twisting to the right and crossing over to the left, adding hair from the front and the back.
The first few are tricky, so hang in there.
Continue this until you get to the half way part under the ponytail.
When you get to that place, let out your bun and half the ponytail.
Take the right half of the ponytail and half it again. Add it to your two pieces that you are twisting.
Continue twisting to the right and crossing over the left until it is tightly twisted all the way down.
Add an elastic on the end.
Repeat on the left side.
Take the two twisted braids and twist them together crossing over left.
Put a new elastic on the end of the new twisted braid and remove the old elastics.
Roll her hair up into a bun.
Pin it when it is how you want it.
This can be the finished product, but if her hair is too heavy, then add another elastic to hold the hair into a lower ponytail.
Pin the bun higher.
