My Favorite Valentine's Hair Style

This one takes a little more time, so you might want to start a movie.  It's totally worth it.
Tools that you will need are a brush, spray bottle, comb, 3 ouchless elastics, one hair band and hair spray.

LACE BRAIDED HEART ( a lace braid is like a half french braid.  You only add hair from one side)
Wet and brush her hair.
Part it down the middle from the front to the back.

Put one side in a ponytail bun to get it out of the way.
When you start this braid, you only add hair from the front.  Use small pieces and do the braid further back than normal.  You shape your braid in the direction that you want your heart.  So, the part is the middle of the heart.  Go up toward her face, then around and back.

Grab from the front then braid like normal from the back.

After you have shaped the round part on the top, then you start pulling toward the back, like you are attaching the two sides together eventually, which you are.
When you get to just above her ear, you do a tradtional braid to the end.

Add  an ouchless elastic.
Get the right side of the hair out of the way.
Spray and brush the left side again.
Use your comb to get a thin but wide piece of hair to start with.
Start the lace braid by adding hair from the front and not from the back.

Finish it off with an ouchless elastic.
The back of the hair should be smoothed and hair sprayed.
Pull the two braids around and add one more ouchless elastic.

Unbraid the two ends up to the new elastic.

Brush the ends.

  1. That’s adorable! That is something that looks like a hairstyle of a princess in some movies. Hahaha! The process look easy, so I may have to try that one for myself. Thank you for sharing that, Mary!
