This hair style is a combination of two different things we do. We combined them and came up with The Braid to Bun.
Begin with spraying and brushing down the hair.
Give her two side parts. So a part on the right and a part on the left.
Right side
Front
Left side
Back
I had Natalie hold the hair up and I pulled the rest back into an elastic to keep it out of the way.
When you get to the back part, finish with a basic braid.
Add an ouchless elastic.
I had Natalie hold the braid in front of her face to keep it out of the way.
Pull her hair into a high pony tail.
Add the braid.
When you come to your last wrap with the elastic, don't pull the ponytail all the way through. Pull it half way through .
This is the beginning of The Floppy Bun.
Arrange it so that the braid and the bun are even.
the hanging hair that is on the bottom I pull up and tuck into the elastic right under the floppy bun.
Up and in.
There are always hairs that fall out or are two short. I pull them up individually and stick them wherever I can. The bottom bun is less noticeable.
On this one the braid shows on both parts of the bun. On the other one the braid was on the inside of the bottom bun, so it didn't show. Either way is fine.
