Double Heart

 The tools you need for this hair style are a  comb, brush, water bottle, hair spray and 4 ouchless elastics.

DOUBLE HEART
Start this one with brushing and spraying to make it smooth.
Part her hair on the left side.  

 Part the hair in the middle starting at the side part and going down about 3 inches. 

 Use the comb to make a part underneath as well, so it is like a square.

 

Add an ouchless elastic toward the bottom part.

Because we will be doing a knot, don't make the ponytail tight up against the head. 

 Do the same thing with the back half of the hair.

 Spray and comb underneath. 

 Divide at the same middle part going down about 2 inches.

 Add an ouchless elastic toward the bottom.

 Do the same thing with the back part.

 So you should have four squares.

Divide

Instead of going up and over, you go under and through.

Don't forget to pull the knot tight after each one.

Divide the ponytail into two pieces. 

Twist the right to the right.

The left to the left.

Make a heart.

Attach it at the bottom ponytail.

Repeat on the back knot.

Easy Valentine's Hair

The tools you will need for this hairdo are a soft brush, water bottle, hairspray, a comb, ouchless elastics and a hair band.

1.  VALENTINE'S KNOT

Begin by brushing and spraying the hair with a water bottle

Part it however you like

Pull the hair back half way. 

Brush it smooth.

Put on ouchless elastic.

This part is starting with a standard knot,

Divide

Instead of taking the pony tail up and over, you take it under and through the hole.

This is the base step for every version of the heart.

Pull it tight.

Divide the pony tail into two.

Spray the hair to make it more workable.

 Take one side and twist it to the right, not too tightly or it will kink up.

Hold it while you twist the other side, to the left.

Arrange and pin if you like. Add an ouchless elastic.

BRAIDED HEART

Begin after the upside down knot. Divide the ponytail in two.

Divide the right ponytail into three peices and braid.

Add an ouchless elastic.

Hair spray the braid.

Do the same thing on the left side.

Make a heart.

Add an ouchless elastic to the end.

Remove the old elastics.

Lift the braid forward, while you brush the rest of the hair into a ponytail.

Pull the braid back and put a hair band on the pony tail end of the heart.

Remove the ouchless elastic.

You may also pin the heart in place, but I didn't in this picture.

TIP:  I have seen this heart done so many ways.  So always begin with the upside down knot and get creative.  This can be done with pig tails. or on the side with the hair down.
